The reason they quote different sensitivities at different impedances is that the amp's MAXIMUM output level changes with load.

Dialing it down reduces the sensitivity meaning it needs more input to drive it to full tilt boogie. Its sensitivity is 1.5Vrms when the knob is set full clockwise. Input sensitivity is controlled by the amp's front-panel knobs.
#DBX DRIVERACK 260 RESPONSE CURVE D MANUAL#
The manual says the 3002 has an input sensitivity of 1.5V when 4 ohms stereo, however I am running them at 4 ohms bridged. What am I missing here? Also, there are no input sensitivity switches on the PLX that I am aware of. The only way you're going to get +28 dBu out of the Mackie is if you're running a handful of channels in clip, and if you're doing that, you don't have enough Rig For The Gig anyways. This means I would need to lower the input level on the GUI of the 260 to -8 dB, correct? Unless I get inside of the 260 and set the input jumpers to 30 dB, which would mean I would need to adjust the input levels on the GUI of the 260 to +2 dB, correct? The downside to that approach is now my meters on the 260 are not calibrated!Ī) change the 260's jumpers to make it impossible to clip its inputs (thus knocking its meters out of cal), orī) don't drive it that hard. The max input level of the 260 stock is 20 dB. How come? The output of the Mackie balanced XLR outs are rated at a max of 28 dB. No need to turn down the "input" of the 260 (based on the output spec )?
